Wine Type: Dry Rosé

(2026) There's absolutely no denying the class - or the deliciousness - of this vintage of what is surely the World's most famous Rosé. Silky smooth in texture, the charming red berries of the nose flow onto the palate where perfect mineral and sheer, delicate line balance propels a long, dry and harmonious finish.

(2026) A very pale, but candy-floss coloured pink made from 70% Grenache with Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Tubouron, this is certified organic. Pretty and delicate, rose-hip and watermelon lightness to aromas and palate, there's fine balance and finesse here, a lovely rosé that feels natural and as if it's not trying too hard.

(2026) An organic wine that's part of a range titled 'Artisans Partisans', led by producer Pierre Bories and each of the wines with strong eco credentals in vineyard and winery. This is a blend of Grenache Gris and Cinsault from Corbières. This fashionably pale wine packs a fair aromatic punch. Red fruit and orange are highlighted by a touch of citrus and florals. The palate too has plenty of fruit and a razor sharp acidity. It is fruity, but has some savoury, delicately spicy bite too. Nicely done.

(2026) From producer Vinha dos Toucinhos, PIRR is new brand on the UK market. Produced from high-altitude vineyards in the Alentejo, this combines local varieties Touriga Nacional and Aragonês, with 15% each of Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer; an unusual blend. There's a touch of copper to the pink colour, and while the nose if not flamboyant, the Gewurz does show with a little lifted nettle and rose character, though the ripe fruitiness dominates. In the mouth this has texture and a savoury dryness. Arguably it lacks a little elegance, the fruit orangy and quite full with some spice, but from 2024 too, it's a pink in the more gastronomic style, rather than being an out and out garden sipper. 

(2026) The 2025 edition of this pink Rioja blends 80% Garnacha and 20% Viura from vineyards at 550 to 770 metres altitude. There's a confectionery note to this peachy-pink, pale wine. In the mouth there is sweetness and a creamy texture, a modest total acidity of 5.85g/l meaning it has freshness and bite, but is in the easier drinking, fruity style.

(2026) There's no doubting the imitation as a form of flattery here. This Angel doesn't whisper, but it does provide a very nice drop of crisp, fruity and refreshing pink from the South of France at a modest price. There's scant information out there about this brand, but I believe this is a blend of Grenache, Merlot and Syrah. It has a fashionably pale, peach-toned, light pink colour, and the nose is summery and delicate, with strawberry bon-bon and a hint of nectarine. On the palate the juicy fruit is pure and upfront, the acidity well-balanced, and the overall picture attractive. Though it’s the understudy, you may not even notice that the famous whispering star is not on stage... Watch the video for more information.

(2026) A very pretty, Provence-style pale pink from close to Perpignan in the Roussillon, composed of Grenache Gris ,Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre. The elegant, frosted bottle with glass Vinolok stopper is classy, and so is the wine: small, ripe, sweet, strawberry and raspberry aromas and flavours, a pristine palate with strawberry bon bon lightness and hints of icing sugar dusting, but dry and finely chiseled in the finish.  

(2026) A blend of Corvina and Rondinella, a moderately pale salmon pink and aromatic: not only lots of musky peach and lychee, but a hint of something like sage or leaf parsley. Plenty of sweet peachy fruit on the palate, a little strictness brought in by a sharp apple acidity, but being not quite bone-dry the finish is fairly easy-going. No UK retail listing at time of review.

(2026) Despite the name, this beautifully packaged wine is not Italian, but Australian, from the Calabria family. Though not stated, I believe Sangiovese is one of the major components of the blend. It's a pink that's much more about fresh-sliced apple and citrus than red fruits, just a little peach plus a cranberry or redcurrant note on the palate, but rather more lime and grapefruit zestiness and drive. A little bit different this one with that zingy directness. I like.

(2026) From English MW Justin Howard-Sneyd's family domaine in the Roussillon, this blends Grenache, Grenache Gris and Syrah in a pale Provence style. An attractive nose of rose-hip and strawberry, a light, floral, cherry scent too. In the mouth it is dry but has lovely ripeness. It's a refreshing and zesty style this, but a little creamy roundness on the palate gives some breadth and a lingering fruitiness that runs into a dry, cranberry and redcurrant finish.
